Somebody made a big mistake in the mail department of the PP as mine arrived today. According to a lack of traffic reguarding PP arrivals on the BBS, I feel like I am honored with being first to report its public appearance.

BTW the cut barrels article sure shows an enlightment side towards cut barrels that should cause many of us to rethink the cut barrel senario. Also the pictures of the Southern and Destry's (AKA Bogardus) scowelful looks towards Old Man Kimble tells the whole story of that event.

All in all a very good PP as in the past, kudos Dr. "A"

I got mine today in Maryland.  It is awesome.  Thanks, Austin.  Destry did a great job as always.  Thank you, Austin, for the coverage of the Fox Collectors Association activities.  I'm sure that they will return the favor in their new newsletter.

Mine arrived today as well.

The whole issue is great, but I especially like the Forum Topics article on cartridge history and development. The sales hype used back in the day, found on the  catalog pages was interesting, some things never change!                Bob

Thanks guys; and my apology to Roger for not crediting him for some of those Bogardus / Kimble photos.

Please note the call for articles; the next issue will feature upland hunting, and reviews of books on upland hunting; especially Burt Spiller and Lynn Bogue Hunt

Thanks, Austin

Do PGCA members get the PP as part of the membership?

Yes Scott, we do. "It's probably the best reason to join." is something I have read here on the forum and for a new member I agree wholeheartedly . . . but, after having been a member for many years, I think Parker Pages is just another of the rewards of membership - I like the fellowship, new friends I have made, shoots and gatherings at many shooting venues all over the country (although I have only attended some of those East of Big Miss' . . . but I do eagerly await my issue of PP with a skein of drool moistening my wiskers and my nose pressed hard against the windowpane lookin' for that little US MAIL truck :)

Dean,

I sent in a check for my membership a couple months back.  The only thing that I have recieved were the raffle tickets for the banquet. No welcome letter or what have you.

Just wondering if that was the norm.

It shouldn't take so long anymore.

You can inquire about "why so long?" at pgcamembership@gmail.com

Scott, predict you will receive membership packet within the month. That's about how long it took for me to recieve anything a year ago after they streamlined the process. A simple postcard acknowledging reciept of application and check with a promise to forward the membership packet in due time would alay anxiety for many of us.

Need to go home now and see if PPages are in the box. It really is worth the price of membership just to receive the magazine. Erick
